Post "HUH"

Exhibited at Saatchi Gallery's latest show "Pangaea: New Art from Africa and Latin America", Casa Tomada is a huge installation piece by artist Rafael Gómezbarros made up from hundreds of giant ants swarming into the corners of the room. When you get up close, it becomes clear that legs of the ants are actually made from wooden twigs and the main body part is rather morbidly fabricated from two resin and fibre glass casts of human skulls, tied together using stripes of dirty white cloth to depict how the world often sees migrant workers - as vermin. The piece will be on show at Saatchi Gallery until 31 August, 2014.ómezbarros-at-saatchi-gallery
